The Spirit of the Antichrist is Upon Oprah!

Sorry all of you Oprah fans, but this video speaks for itself. A friend of mine just sent this to me, and although it surely doesn't surprise me, it still is amazingly disturbing to watch Oprah and hear these words roll off of her tongue. I guess the most disturbing part of it to me is not only does she have such a vast sphere of influence with millions of unsuspecting people in her viewing audience, but she is also backing a presidential candidate. I could go on and on with a commentary on this video but I think what really came to mind after I saw this was the following passage of scripture from 1John (below the video). Watch it and let me know what you think.



I think this passage of scripture from 1 John 18-27 says it all:

Dear children, this is the last hour; and as you have heard that the antichrist is coming, even now many antichrists have come. This is how we know it is the last hour. They went out from us, but they did not really belong to us. For if they had belonged to us, they would have remained with us; but their going showed that none of them belonged to us.

But you have an anointing from the Holy One, and all of you know the truth. I do not write to you because you do not know the truth, but because you do know it and because no lie comes from the truth. Who is the liar? It is the man who denies that Jesus is the Christ. Such a man is the antichrist—he denies the Father and the Son. No one who denies the Son has the Father; whoever acknowledges the Son has the Father also.

See that what you have heard from the beginning remains in you. If it does, you also will remain in the Son and in the Father. And this is what he promised us—even eternal life.

I am writing these things to you about those who are trying to lead you astray. As for you, the anointing you received from him remains in you, and you do not need anyone to teach you. But as his anointing teaches you about all things and as that anointing is real, not counterfeit—just as it has taught you, remain in him.

I am not saying that Oprah is THE Antichrist, but I do believe there are spirits of the antichrist at work in the world today. When most people think of the Occult, they think of Satan worshipping, animal and human sacrifice, black magic, etc. To most people, those practices are obviously dark and evil, but as I am realizing, especially after I read up a little more on the topic on wikipedia, that the occult encompasses so much more than what I originally thought- namely New Age practices.

But it should come as no surprise as we consider 2 Corinthians 11:14, "And no wonder, for Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light." Basically, the vast majority of those who are deceived will be deceived with something that seems like light. Could it be that this deceptive light that Satan masquerades in is in fact the New Age Spirituality? In this, everyone is invited to create their own image of God and worship that. Just to state the obvious- worshiping something that man creates, whether it is a golden calf or a "new idea of God" is idolatry. Not good! Not good at all!
